Description
The Maker Space is a very exciting program starting this year at Roscomare and taught by our daytime Science Teacher Carly. It is a fun DIY space for exploration and creativity. In this session, students will be encouraged to design, experiment, invent, and build. They will have room to explore their interests and develop their problem solving skills in a very hands-on, project based program.
MAKER SPACE
Class Day and Time: Wednesdays 3-4pm
Grade Level: 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Session 3: 7 classes total for $140 (includes a longer minimum day class)

Class Location: Classes will take place in Room 23 (next to the Art Room)
- Space for these sessions are very limited.
- Payments are neither refundable nor transferable.
What if my child misses a class?
No make-up classes are offered, and classes, and payment for sessions are neither refundable nor transferrable. Please email Teacher Carly if your child will be absent from class.
How will my child know when and where to go?
1st graders will be walked to Room 23. 2nd graders and up should be reminded by a parent that they will need to walk themselves to Room 23 (next the the Art Room) right after their 2-3pm After School class.
Children need to be picked up in the front of the school as soon as the class ends at 4:05pm. All parents need to be on time, no childcare is available for students who are picked up late. Parents will drive up to the front of school at 4:05pm on Wednesdays to pick up their child or can park on Roscomare Road and walk up.
Illness:
If the Teacher notices that a child appears ill when they arrive to class, even if the student indicates they feel ok, a parent will be called to pick them up without delay.

I understand that while precautions are in place to keep students as safe as possible, there is a risk of contracting Covid-19 and other illnesses while part of this program. While we have rules in place to limit possible exposure, participation in this program includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules may reduce this risk, the risk does exist. By purchasing this class, I acknowledge that and knowingly and freely assume all such risks. I understand that once payment has been made for this class it is non-refundable/non-transferable.
I understand that if my child needs to be removed from the class due to discipline issues or consistent late pickups, there will be no refund. I will not pick up my child early as it will disrupt the program for all students. I must pick up my child on time at 4:05pm.
