Description
In this exciting course, students will get to run their very own Roscomare school Newspaper. They will dive into the world of journalism through conducting interviews, researching and covering the upcoming events like Stem Night, the Halloween parade, the Mary Poppins musical, our school Robotics team, sports and more. Mr. A will introduce the students to a digital flip book software for formatting their articles which will be shared with the rest of our school community. This will spread school spirit and give students an opportunity to write to their peers about their passions.

Class Day and Time: Fridays 3-4pm
Grade Level: 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
Session 1: 8 classes for $160

- What if my child misses a class?
No make-up classes are offered, and classes, and payments for sessions are neither refundable nor transferrable. Please email Mr. A if your child will be missing a class so he will know not to look for your child.
- How will my child know when and where to go?
Students will need to meet at the computer room right after school.
Pick up:
Children need to be picked up in the front of the school as soon as the class ends at 4:05pm. All parents need to be on time, no childcare is available for students who are picked up late. Parents will drive up to the front of school at 4:05pm on Fridays to pick up their child or you can choose to park on Roscomare Road and pick up at the front of the school.
Illness:
If the teacher notices that a child appears ill when they arrive to class, even if the student indicates they feel ok, a parent will be called to pick them up without delay.

I understand that while precautions are in place to keep students as safe as possible, there is a risk of contracting Covid-19 and other illnesses while part of this program. While we have rules in place to limit possible exposure, participation in this program includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules may reduce this risk, the risk does exist. By purchasing this class, I acknowledge that and knowingly and freely assume all such risks. I understand that once payment has been made for this class it is non-refundable/non-transferable.
I understand that if my child needs to be removed from the class due to discipline issues or consistent late pickups, there will be no refund. I will not pick up my child early as it will disrupt the program for all students. I must pick up my child on time at 4:05pm.
